Blue Mountain Saturday

Hi everyone!

Hoped you guys enjoyed the snow! If you live in warmer regions, hope you enjoyed not having to shuffle the snow!

downloadSo on Saturday, a few friends and I went skiing and snowboarding at Blue Mountain. It was SO much fun. I haven’t been skiing since last year, and going with close friends really make a difference!

One of the many best parts about this trip is that it is subsidized by University Productions; at only $30 for ski lift and rental, this deal is probably 40% of the original you would be spending if you went by yourself. Events hosted by University Productions are actually pretty cool; last semester, I went to watch Phantom of the Opera at Broadway for $40 (probably a $120 value). In addition, they also host a lot of the events during Lehigh-Laf week too.

Blue Mountain is around an hour away from Lehigh, so if you’ve never been skiing or snowboarding before, it’s actually not too difficult to go. There are multiple green level slopes, along with I think three blue ones. Towards the center of the mountain, there are 17 diamonds, three of them double black diamonds. Definitely wouldn’t recommend those slopes for beginners!

Personally, I don’t go skiing that often (as I mention before, my last time was last year) so my group stayed on the greens and the blues. Paradise was probably my favorite slope!
