Lehigh is Everywhere!

It isn’t uncommon to run into people in random places that love Lehigh football, wrestling, etc. The other night, I was at my martial arts gym which is about 15 minutes from campus. There was a new kid in jiu jitsu that night who was about 16 or 17. After class, I went into the lobby to put my mouth guard away and get ready to leave. The new kid’s dad noticed the Lehigh wrestling t-shirt I had on and told me that he is a big fan. We talked for a little bit, and he told me that he actually went to Lehigh for his business degree back in the 80’s and went back later for his master’s in education. He was really interested in hearing about my Lehigh experience and all that jazz. It was really cool to talk to him and feel connected to him even though we had never met before just because we both went/go to Lehigh!

About lukatie15

Hi! I'm Katie. I am a junior here at Lehigh and I am double majoring in Civil Engineering and Architecture. This Arts-Engineering program is a five year program where I will graduate with two degrees. I am from Quakertown, Pennsylvania, and I am one of the few commuting students at Lehigh. Despite of this, I am the Vice President of the Steel Bridge Team, and I played club rugby. Additionally, I do kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at a local martial arts gym. If you have any questions about anything at all, please don't hesitate to ask! View all posts by lukatie15
