Lehigh-Laf Week!

Well it is Monday and Lehigh-Lafayette Week has come to an end unfortunately 😦 I was so sad that it was my last year to celebrate on campus! I am a member of an organization called “The Association of Student Alumni” and we plan the events of Lehigh-Lafayette Week, so it was a very busy week for me and all ASA members. Three of the main events during the week are the Lehigh-Laf Rally, the Fall Fest, and Bed Races! All events had a great turnout this year, and the weather stayed perfect throughout the week (however, the weather during the game was extremely cold!).

Saturday was game day and unfortunately, the Lafayette Leopards beat us. I thought it was a great day overall and I spent it with my good friends. I also was able to see one of my best friends from home, a fellow Civil Engineer who attends Lafayette (pictured below).

There were about 15 of us celebrating on game day, and we ordered our tailgating food from none other than The Goose! The Goose is a deli located right off campus that has a “word of mouth” menu, and the sandwich creations are fantastic. This sandwich (below) is called “The Death Star” and feeds about 10 extremely hungry people. My friends and I were also lucky enough to be parked next to alumni from the class of ’73 who kept feeding us their BBQ food and other sandwiches.

Overall it was a great week and almost-end to the semester. Now, I have one test standing in the way of Thanksgiving Break!

About lusamantha14

I am currently a senior at Lehigh University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. My blog this semester will be about my last undergraduate year at Lehigh: academics, social events & unexpected day to day occurrences. I'm really excited to share my thoughts, stories, and advice with anyone reading, since I know that all students go through very similar experiences. I can't wait to explore all of the opportunities that the field of Civil Engineering has to offer & I'm excited to live out my last year at Lehigh to the fullest! View all posts by lusamantha14
