After figuring out why I wasn’t able to sign up for my studio and a lot of internal debating, I finally decided what I’m taking next semester. It’s a total of 16 credits, less than I’m used to. Doesn’t look too bad.
ARCH 143: This is the second studio in the architectural design sequence-a MUST for me next semester. The professor teaching this hasn’t taught 143 in quite some time, so it should be interesting if nothing else. This is a 6 credit class.
CEE 170: Introduction to Environmental Engineering. This is a required class for all Civ E’s. My TA for fluids, which I have now, will be teaching this, and I really like him, so I’m excited to take it with him. A lot of this class deals with water chemistry and pollution. This is 4 credits.
CEE 222: Hydraulic Engineering. This is next in the sequence after Fluid Mechanics. We’ll cover pipe and pump, ground water, and open channel hydraulics. Dr. Weisman teaches this class, and it is 3 credits.
CEE 264: Fundamentals of Concrete Design. We’ll do analysis, design, and detailing of reinforced concrete members and simple systems for strength and serviceability requirements. This is with Dr. Pessiki, who I’ve heard great thing about. This class is also 3 credits.
