Adjusting Accordingly

The title of my blog applies to the busy few weeks I have coming up, in particular, the next week. I was notified on Friday afternoon that I have a written and verbal exam/interview in Philly next Monday for the Philadelphia Water Department. I can definitely make this work because I live in the city and would be so excited to see my phone, but I would have to change my academic and extracurricular plans at Lehigh.

Upon finding out the date of this exam, I emailed my Professor for my Foundation Engineering class because our test is scheduled for that Monday morning. I asked if there was a possibility of me taking the exam at another date, and explained my situation. My professor was extremely accommodating and is allowing me to take the test on Friday! I was really appreciative of this because I know how short notice this situation is.

Although it was awesome of my professor to allow my to take the test at another date, I now have to manage my time extremely well this week so that I can prepare for my foundation engineering test. I have a few homework assignments and a 15 minute presentation this week, so it will be a little hectic until Friday afternoon. Bright side of all of this: I get to see my family Sunday!

About lusamantha14

I am currently a senior at Lehigh University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. My blog this semester will be about my last undergraduate year at Lehigh: academics, social events & unexpected day to day occurrences. I'm really excited to share my thoughts, stories, and advice with anyone reading, since I know that all students go through very similar experiences. I can't wait to explore all of the opportunities that the field of Civil Engineering has to offer & I'm excited to live out my last year at Lehigh to the fullest! View all posts by lusamantha14
