As the vice president of ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) at Lehigh, I help organize what we call Fritz Fridays for the civE’s every other Friday morning. We set up a table in the main testing floor of the Fritz building on campus and have coffee and doughnuts for the civil engineering students that stop by in between classes. Several professors and structural mechanics doing testing will also come by and interact with the students. As far as I know, we are the only department to do anything like this which makes for good relationships between the students and professors. Plus it’s a great way to end the week!

Hey! I'm Karl, a civil engineer in my senior year at Lehigh University. I am from the Buffalo/Western New York area and am the president of the American Society of Civil Engineers on campus. I am also on the Running Club team, practice electric and classical guitar, and study music theory on my own. I enjoy playing and watching sports with my friends in my free time (or the times when I probably should be studying). View all posts by lukarl15
