FE Exam

FE Exam

After a short week of two tests (that weren’t too bad), I am now 8 days away from taking the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam ! Most civil engineers take this exam, which is basically a two-part standardized test that is used as a prerequisite for the Professional Engineer Exam! The exam is offered in October & April, so I decided to take it earlier (and the date approached very quickly).

Next Saturday I will go to the testing center (the test is offered in various locations across the country) and complete the two parts; the first part will be general engineering topics & the second part will be specific to Civil engineering. According to my research (aka word of mouth from Lehigh alums) the test will take about 6 hours; therefore, I definitely want to pass so that I don’t have to go through that again!

I’m excited to get through this exam and be an example of the rigorous training Lehigh guides their students through. Hopefully the questions ask will be “in my favor” – I just have to remember to keep my head calm & clear! ( hence the picture above)

About lusamantha14

I am currently a senior at Lehigh University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. My blog this semester will be about my last undergraduate year at Lehigh: academics, social events & unexpected day to day occurrences. I'm really excited to share my thoughts, stories, and advice with anyone reading, since I know that all students go through very similar experiences. I can't wait to explore all of the opportunities that the field of Civil Engineering has to offer & I'm excited to live out my last year at Lehigh to the fullest! View all posts by lusamantha14
