Looking forward to Pacing Break

Looking forward to Pacing Break

Hello everyone, TGIF! Today marks the 6th week of the semester, so that means we are almost halfway through the fall semester (scary how fast that went). Next Friday will start “Pacing Break” which is Lehigh’s version of a Fall Break; we have the following Monday and Tuesday off, so if you are lucky and don’t have class on Fridays, you have a pretty decent break! During this break, some Lehigh students go home, some go to a friend’s house, and some take a short vacation. I have quite a few assignments and tests next week, so break will be even sweeter for me after I complete all of my tasks. While home on break I will be taking my sister, pictured above with me, to visit colleges (and living vicariously through her of course) so I will be doing some traveling with my family. My sister is really interested in the nursing field so I want to help her find schools who offer this degree and would be a good fit for her. One of the most important things in having a great college experience, in my opinion, is going to a college where you can relate to the other students and thrive in the environment. I feel that Lehigh was such a great fit for me, for about 15 different reasons. I’m able to be a part of various organizations that have completely different focuses, and I feel 100% immersed in each and every group. My sister sees how much good Lehigh has done for me, and really wants that experience for herself. I’m so excited to see what other colleges have to offer her (and of course I’ll be taking notes on the tour guides to see if they measure up to Lehigh’s 😉 !)

About lusamantha14

I am currently a senior at Lehigh University pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. My blog this semester will be about my last undergraduate year at Lehigh: academics, social events & unexpected day to day occurrences. I'm really excited to share my thoughts, stories, and advice with anyone reading, since I know that all students go through very similar experiences. I can't wait to explore all of the opportunities that the field of Civil Engineering has to offer & I'm excited to live out my last year at Lehigh to the fullest! View all posts by lusamantha14
