Spring Schedule

After a stressful time figuring out what ti take and registering, I came up with a schedule that I am satisfied with. It may not look like it, but this is 18 credit hours, plus I am getting 1 credit for Steel Bridge, so I am actually taking 19 credits. If you’re unfamiliar with Steel Bridge, check out my other blog post: https://lehighcee1.wordpress.com/2012/09/26/steel-bridge/

CEE 59 – Strength of Materials: All CivEs have to take this class. We talk about things like stress and strain, Hooke’s Law, beam deflections, etc.

CEE 202 – CEE Planning and Engineering Economics: Again, all CivE’s have to take this class. We learn about planning and project management, financial decision-making, rate-of-return, etc.

DES 4 – Three-Dimensional Design: This is a class that all Architecture students have to take. I’m really excited about ti because it’s my first studio.

ARCH 210 – 20thCentury Architecture: All Architecture students have to take this class also. It is about the history and theories of modern and contemporary architecture.

ARCH 342 – Theory of Form and Materials: Study of the genesis of form, its representation and its interrelationship to related artistic disciplines. I talked to the professor, and this class seems like it will be pretty awesome. This counts for one of my History/Theory electives.

About lukatie15

Hi! I'm Katie. I am a junior here at Lehigh and I am double majoring in Civil Engineering and Architecture. This Arts-Engineering program is a five year program where I will graduate with two degrees. I am from Quakertown, Pennsylvania, and I am one of the few commuting students at Lehigh. Despite of this, I am the Vice President of the Steel Bridge Team, and I played club rugby. Additionally, I do kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at a local martial arts gym. If you have any questions about anything at all, please don't hesitate to ask! View all posts by lukatie15
